Moving beyond, “today I am thankful for…” activities, this Thanksgiving season we are focusing not only on saying what we are thankful for, but on what it means to have a spirit of thankfulness.
Because being thankful to someone usually begins with vocalizing appreciation, this week we are focusing on emphasizing our thankfulness to God for all things in prayer, as well as increasing our amount of time spent in prayer each day. The more time we spend in prayer with the Lord, the more we learn to focus on Him. The more we learn to thank God for what we have, the more things we find in our lives to be thankful for.
We will use one verse for each day of the (school) week, both for copywork and discussion. (All scriptures are NIV, but click the passage or see Bible Gateway for other options.)
