Welcome to our blog, and thank you so much for reading! I am so happy to introduce myself and my family to all of you.
I am a Bible thumping, homeschooling, aspiring homesteading mama. I believe in trying to appreciate the simple things. I believe that man and woman have their own specific roles in life and family, and should not be confused with each other. I believe that discipline, morals, values, and creativity are not mutually exclusive, but rather make one heck of a recipe for success. I believe in the ability of my kids to succeed in anything they put their minds to. I believe that God makes all things possible. I believe that God answers all prayer… though sometimes it’s just not the answer we want to hear. I believe that I am blessed beyond belief.
Big G, aka The Athlete, is 11 years old and is absolutely obsessed with football. Thankfully, his genetics have predisposed him to be perfect for the sport, already standing over 5’7”, a men’s size 12 shoe, and incredible strength. Big G is not only strong in body, but in mind and spirit as well. Despite our family struggles at a young age, Big G was always my little rock. He is also a natural leader, and is methodical and logical, yet also sensitive and compassionate. He doesn’t share feelings easily, but he knows what he believes, and there is no way he will be swayed.
Little M is The Musician. He has some attention and sensory issues, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit. I believe it is those sensitivities that led him to music as an outlet. Having always been sensitive to sound, it was no surprise to discover just how acute his sense of hearing really is. This acuteness, if you will, has resulted in his gift of absolute, or perfect pitch. It is truly amazing to watch him play and compose music. In addition to his musical abilities, Little M also deeply desires to understand the things of God. He enjoys theological discussions more than any other child his age I have ever known. For this, I am so grateful.
I hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about us. We all appreciate our readers, and hope that our lives and our writings can be a blessing to you in some way. Thank you all.
